SENOMOTO KOGEN
HOT SPRING HOTEL
This hotel is located on a plateau surrounded by nature in Aso-Kuju National Park.
Just a 2 to 3-hour drive from the heart of Kumamoto City, you can experience this stunning getaway view
Kurokawa Onsen Town
Panorama sunset
The most remarkable aspect of this hotel is definitely the breathtaking views it offers. Located on a plateau, guests can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic spectacle of the volcanic mountains.
Since we took a bus from the city and the hotel shuttle bus runs between the hotel and this Onsen town, we stopped by Kurokawa Hot springs
For more information about Kurokawa town, see my blog post #005.
Kurokawa town is lined with many inns and local shops where you can enjoy sweets and local food.
The interior design of this hotel was one of the highlights too, truly transforming the space and setting it apart from others.
During our stay, I soaked in the breathtaking view from the mid-century modern lobby.
Cherishing the moments without internet allowed me to fully relax and unwind.
Our absolute highlight of this trip was undoubtedly the outdoor bath.
Stepping out of our room, we had our own private bath available anytime.
The hot spring water and hinoki bathtub gave us genuine relaxation.
Every time I return to Japan, I usually cram my schedule to experience everything the country has to offer.
But this trip was different. It made me realize that sometimes you don’t need to rush. Instead, a relaxing hot spring getaway can be exactly what you need to truly unwind.
